Children of a slums

A girl, amongst others, scavenging by rubbish creatively brought to one of Kabul slums. Dec 2010, Afghanistan.

There have been most young kids living in hunker settlements, building towns and slums of Kabul. Most of them have been deprived entrance to education, to food sufficient times a day, to safety of usual childhood. Many work or desire upon streets perplexing to support family, accumulate garbage, get beaten, witness cruelty of war. In a Kabul slums 40% of them die before reaching their 5th birthday.
