Tibetan woodcarving date back to a seventh century, what you see in this design is benefaction day.

The entrance of Nyingmapa Yazer Gonpa, is an active nunnery affiliated to Dzogchen monastery, known as Yazer Gon. A Nyingma school. Here you find a most appropriate woodcarving upon a Tibetan nunnery in Tibet (still underneath building a whole at benefaction day). The pillars have been some a single meter across. Its worth a visit. Just a half hour walk or a small some-more from Manigango upon a alternative site of a river Tro chu (Cho chu) uphill.

There have been three kinds of timber carvings: musical carvings upon buildings, scripture-edition carvings as well as mould carvings. Various exquisite woodcarvings decorate Tibetan beams, pillars as well as church niches. Woodcarvings also appear upon beams, pillars as well as windows in many homes.
