Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Abu Dhabi

AB, UAE: The main hall of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque ( ). The mosque is the largest in the UAE, the third largest in the world (40,000 worshippers) and the largest building in the world made of marble. Completed in 2007, the mosque also lays claim to the world's largest single carpet (5,627 sq m / 60,570 sq ft) and the world's largest chandelier, at 10m (33ft) wide and 15m (49ft) tall, weighing 4 tonnes and encrusted with over a million Swarovski crystals. The four main minerets are 155m (377ft) high.
