Salmon fishing in Killarney - Ireland

An adventure to be taken if ever visiting Killarney is a Gap of Dunloe. Kelly and we went upon a letter of reference of a friend. This tour starts at a base of a grand towering pass and takes you over by "trap"(horse drawn cart), then by vessel through 3 connnected lakes to Ross Castle.

The picture upon top of was shot from a tiny vessel as you trafficked between a Upper Lake and Muckross Lake upon a stream called a Long Range. This was just after a rain with a H2O levels up and a salmon starting to run. Fishing is postulated by permit usually - 2/day.....very distinct a giveaway for all fishing days we recollect along a Russian River upon a Kenai in Alaska.

What struck me about this picture was a mixture of texture, colors, wildness and man - all in one.

Only finished justice here....
