Story of the route
Dziadek od orzechow posted the photo:
A bootlegging track in in between Mogadishu and Jarati, Somali Region, Somalia border, May 2010.
An old Somali-plates truck met somewhere nearby limit on the main track heading from Mogadishu and Bosaso ports in to Ethiopia. Somalis often bring sugarine in to the country, pushing anything in in between 6-14 days one way, depending on the season of the year. This one, shot by bandits on Somalia side, was bringing 35 tonnes of sugar...and some other things.
It's tough to call it the "smuggling" route, since border, except of one on the map, does not exist.
